Square One [back to the top] Disease, war, hatred, religion, humanity - all factors in the slow destruction of the world. War and hatred came first inflamed by religion, greed and those who think they are the almighty. It took ahold of the world and brought it crashing down - lives were lost, cities destroyed beneath the destructive and violent onslaught of World War Three. Next came disease - scientist paid to make deadly viruses which spread through the cities and brought the populations down dramatically. Through all of this the supernaturals stood tall - Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Fae, Shapeshifters, Angels - Those unable to contract the diseases or unwilling to help in the pathetic war of the humans. Something dangerous and ultimately alluring. It didn't take us long to branch out into the sky, with ships so huge you could fit thousands of us on. In search of new land to conquer, new homes to call our own. The search took us away from earth, it took us hundreds of years but we found somewhere - we found lots of somewheres. We made a new home, we settled in, sat back and relaxed. We made this scattering of planets ours. Then we wondered what was beyond that, what was further out into the inky abyss. If the entry isn't marked as private then everyone aboard the ship can read it and comment to it, both written and spoken. Things can be locked to individual members of the crew also. A com system is used on the ships also, a small badge is giving to each, when it is in touch with someones finger the voice is able to be transmitted to another. There were legends, fables and myths. Belief was something almost tangible, something so strong that during that time those Gods and Goddess, the fables and the myths lived among the mortals. As time passed and people changed the beliefs in the Old Gods and the stories died and so did they. It is only with the increase of technology - the easy accessibility of information which brings them back. As belief in them slowly grows so does the Gods and the heroes in each story become aware-ness of who they are and their abilities. So the Old Beliefs are awakening to a new time. How will they fare?
